Orientation: Understanding the challenges that influence adoption of digital human resource management (HRM) practices across (HR) value chain enables HRM departments and organisations to optimise digitalisation. Research purpose: The purpose this study was identify HR in South African workplace. Motivation for study: Challenges hindering needed be identified proactively addressed accelerate process approach/design method: A cross-sectional quantitative research design adopted, with an on-line questionnaire as data collection tool. purposive snowball sampling method used. Data were collected from 312 professionals line managers automotive industry Eastern Cape Province Africa. processed using Statistical Package Social Sciences (SPSS), version 27, analysed exploratory factor analysis (EFA), descriptive analysis, Pearson Product Moment correlations regression analysis.
