چکیده
Shell and Helical Tube Exchanger merupakan salah satu alat penukar kalor dengan memanfaatkan 2 pipa yaitu bagian luar dan dalam (Helical tube). Fluida panas mengalir pada dalam, fluida pendingin berlawanan arah (Shell), sehingga terjadi proses yang di dari dipindahkan ke dingin mengalir. Proses ini berjalan terus menerus. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja shell helical tube heat exchanger variasi kecepatan temperatur in. Temperatur masuk (tube in) divariasi sebesar: 80 0 C,100 0C, 120 C fluida: 5 m/s, 10 m/s 15 m/s. Hasil penelitian adalah semakin kecil tube, tinggi in maka mempunyai nilai baik, didapatkan LMTD efektivitas tinggi.
