Poverty is a global issue and included in the agenda of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). According to Whitehead (Kemenpppa. 2016) conducted data collection that more than half poor developing countries are women. Klaten Regency one regencies with Gender Index which continues increase 2018- 2020. However, based on per capita expenditure Regency, it shows women's lower men this there still gender gap level economic welfare Regency. tackling poverty as well efforts accommodate empowerment, namely by running Family Hope Program. The theory used study Sara Hlupekile Longwe's empowerment framework theory: namely: welfare, access, awareness, participation, control. In study, method descriptive qualitative research where techniques interview documentation studies. field findings show although women Program has been able awareness not reach This fully empowered. situation influenced several factors, patriarchal culture affects people's lives.
