Desa Burai adalah salah satu desa yang berada di Kecamatan Tanjung Batu, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir, Sumatera Selatan. dikelilingi oleh sungai kelekar dan rawa kaya akan flora fauna. Selatan merupakan dari 50 ekowisata terbaik Indonesia. Permasalahan dialami pembudidaya ikan termasuk dihadapi kelompok saat ini belum mampu memproduksi benih Selincah secara mandiri kontinue sehingga ketersediaan untuk usaha pembesaran budidaya selincah masih mengandalkan hasil tangkapan alam. Untuk mengatasi masalah timbul meningkatkan produksi khususnya maka perlu ditingkatkan lebih intensif. Salah upaya dapat dilakukan dengan menambahkan atau menyuntikkan hormon ovaprim ke dalam tubuh sudah matang gonad meempercepat proses pemijahan dihasilkan baik dimana jumlah, mutu waktu penyediaannya diatur sesuai diinginkan.
