Peer-to-Peer Tourism: Tourists’ Profile Estimation through Artificial Neural Networks

نویسندگان

چکیده

Peer-to-peer tourism is one of the great global trends that transforming sector, introducing several changes in many aspects tourism, such as way travelling, staying or living experience destination. This research aims to determine relationship between sociodemographic characteristics tourists interested peer-to-peer accommodation and importance they give various motivational factors about this type a “cultural-tourism” city. The methodology used an artificial neural network multilayer perceptron estimate profile tourist user based on predetermined input values consisting answers Likert-type questions previously carried out using questionnaire. Thus, model developed, through customized set these questions, allows presentation “composite picture” characteristics. function especially interesting for adapting hosting offer according preferences potential users.

Gossip-based distribution estimation in peer-to-peer networks

We propose a novel gossip-based technique that allows each node in a system to estimate the distribution of values held by other nodes. We observe that the presence of duplicate values does not significantly affect the distribution of values in samples collected through gossip, and based on that explore different data synopsis techniques that optimize space and time while allowing nodes to accu...

Bandwidth Modeling and Estimation in Peer to Peer Networks

Recent studies have shown that the majority of today’s internet traffic is related to Peer to Peer (P2P) traffic. The study of bandwidth in P2P networks is very important. Because it helps us in more efficient capacity planning and QoS provisioning when we would like to design a large scale computer networks. In this paper motivated by the behavior of peers (sources or seeds) that is modeled by...

Caching Mechanism in Peer-to-Peer Networks through Active XML

Active XML (AXML) is a new markup language framework that provides the ability to exchange intensional data. The intensional data is defined in the AXML documents as calls to local or remote Web services. AXML aims to improve the task partition and distribution in P2P networks. However, if one peer joins more than one P2P network and its services are invoked frequently by a large number of peer...

Structured Peer-to-Peer Networks through Distributed Nonmetric Multidimensional Scaling

Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) is a technique for dimensionality reduction widely used in the field of data-mining. For P2P data networks, it holds the potential to provide an intuitive way to browse and explore heterogeneous data distributed over the system. Current MDS approaches are dependent on a centralized instance (controller) and can therefore not be used in decentralized environments. ...

Indexing through Querying in Unstructured Peer-to-Peer Overlay Networks

The efficiency of a Peer-to-Peer file sharing overlay is measured in terms of the scalability and versatility of its object lookup strategy. In these networks peers carry out distributed query relaying to discover the service providers. Existing lookup mechanisms like flooding and random walks in unstructured P2P overlays create huge communication overhead and increased response time. In this w...
