چکیده
Background: Pectoralis major (PM) tendon tears are a relatively uncommon injury that typically occurs in young, active population during weightlifting or recreational sports. Musculotendinous junction and chronic PM often require reconstruction due to inadequate remnant stump inability reduce the humeral footprint. Indications: We favor operative repair of all young patients medically appropriate for surgery as supported by literature. present technique with semitendinosus allograft. This is applicable musculotendinous tears. Technique: A modified deltopectoral approach used. The tear identified at retracted muscle belly mobilized. reconstructed allograft using Pulvertaft weave technique. footprint prepped properly tensioned reduced. Fixation performed fibertapes loaded on 3 unicortical buttons. Postoperatively, patient follows graduated rehabilitation protocol. Results: There paucity literature regarding outcomes reconstructions One study reported 6 who had underwent similar ours. They report good clinical high satisfaction cosmetic outcome, return strength, overall postoperatively. Discussion: It our experience described provides viable option ruptures junction.

Allograft reconstruction of chronic pectoralis major tendon ruptures.
In chronic pectoralis tendon tears, primary repair may not be possible and allograft reconstruction may be required. The goal of this study was to report the authors' experience with chronic pectoralis major tendon reconstructions using an Achilles tendon allograft in three military patients. Three consecutive patients presenting with chronic, complete pectoralis major tendon tears underwent re...
متن کاملAnatomic Acromioclavicular Joint Reconstruction With Semitendinosus Allograft: Surgical Technique
Acromioclavicular joint separations are common shoulder injuries in the active patient population. Nonoperative management is recommended for Rockwood type I and II injuries, whereas surgical reconstruction is recommended for type IV and VI separations. The management for type III and V injuries is more controversial and is determined on a case-by-case basis. A multitude of surgical reconstruct...
متن کاملOutcomes After Dermal Allograft Reconstruction of Chronic or Subacute Pectoralis Major Tendon Ruptures
Background Avoiding delay in the surgical management of pectoralis major (PM) ruptures optimizes outcomes. However, this is not always possible, and when a tear becomes chronic or when a subacute tear has poor tissue quality, a graft can facilitate reconstruction. Purpose The primary aim was to evaluate the clinical outcomes of PM reconstruction with dermal allograft augmentation for chronic ...
