PD-1 inhibitors-associated myocarditis in non-small cell lung cancer patients
نویسندگان
چکیده
Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs)-associated myocarditis remains a rare but fatal adverse event. The authors sought to provide comprehensive clinical description of ICI-associated by analyzing symptoms, laboratory indicators, imaging features, and management in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Clinicopathological Features of Patients with Non-small-cell Lung Cancer in West of Iran
Background: Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer death worldwide with an annual mortality rate of more than 1.3 million worldwide. We aimed to analyze the clinicopathological features of patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in west of Iran. Methods: 64 patients with NSCLC who referred to our clinic were analyzed. Sex, age, histopathology, location of the tumor, treatment,...
متن کاملThe effectiveness of PD-1 inhibitors in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients of different ages
Background Immunosenescence, the age-related decline of immunity, affects the immune responses of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Through immune responses, programmed death-1 (PD-1) inhibitors exert their antitumor robustness. In different ages of NSCLC patients, especially the older patients, the effectiveness of PD-1 inhibitors remains unclear. It is still controversial whether p...
متن کاملExpression of PD-1/PD-L1 and PD-L2 in peripheral T-cells from non-small cell lung cancer patients
Binding of programmed death-1 (PD-1) with its ligands (PD-L1/2) transmits a co-inhibitory signal in activated T-cells that promotes T-cell exhaustion, leading to tumor immune evasion. The efficacy of antibodies targeting PD-1 and PD-L1 has led to a paradigm shift in lung cancer treatment but the prognostic and predictive value of tumor PD-L1 expression remains controversial. Evaluating PD-1, PD...
متن کاملPD-1/PD-L1 blockades in non-small-cell lung cancer therapy
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in males and the second leading cause of death in females worldwide. Non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the main pathological type of lung cancer, and most newly diagnosed NSCLC patients cannot undergo surgery because the disease is already locally advanced or metastatic. Despite chemoradiotherapy and targeted therapy improving clinical outcom...
متن کاملPD-1/PD-L1 immune checkpoint blockade in non-small cell lung cancer.
The programmed death 1 (PD-1) pathway is an immune checkpoint that has been implicated in tumoral immune escape, and has emerged as a major focus of immunotherapy in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Multiple agents have progressed through clinical development in recent years, including antibodies targeting both PD-1 and its key ligand, programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1). This article reviews ...
