PCR147 Investigating Respondents with Depression By Presence of Prior Treatment: Examining Health Outcomes Using the National Health and Wellness Survey

Among individuals currently treated for depression, there may be inequalities in health outcomes, attitudes, and overall care between those who have previously taken depression medication on their first medication. This study aimed to examine differences with prior treatment (PT) versus no (NPT) 1) class of taken, 2) healthcare resource use (HRU), 3) patient activation, 4) satisfaction, 5) severity 6) adherence, 7) related quality life. Data from the NHWS 2021 included respondents at least 18 years age reported a diagnosis current monotherapy resided United States, were not diagnosed bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. T-tests Chi-square tests used compare quantitative qualitative data, respectively, two groups. A total 4255 eligible self-reported physician (PT: n=1810, NPT: n=2445) predominantly white (83.2%) female (74.4%).
