Pay-for-performance reduces bypassing of health facilities: Evidence from Tanzania

چکیده
Many patients and expectant mothers in low-income countries bypass local health facilities search of better-quality services. This study examines the impact a payment-for-performance (P4P) scheme on bypassing practices among women Tanzania. We expect P4P intervention to reduce incidences by improving quality services facilities, thereby reducing incentive migrate. used difference-in-difference regression model assess after one year three years. In addition, we implemented machine learning approach identify factors that predict bypassing. Overall, 38% bypassed their service provider deliver another facility.
