چکیده
Abstract Purpose To determine thresholds in patient-reported outcome measures at baseline patients electing to undergo triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) surgery select with clinically improved outcomes. Methods The study cohort comprised consecutive who underwent open TFCC repair between December 2011 and 2018 various clinics the Netherlands. All were asked complete patient-rated wrist evaluation (PRWE) questionnaire as well 12 months postoperatively. minimal important difference (MCID) for PRWE was calculated be 24 using an anchor-based method. We compared patient, disease, surgical characteristics did not reach MCID. t-tests chi-square tests undertaken test differences outcomes satisfaction or Results Patients (34%) MCID had a longer history of complaints. chances reaching low score slim. Of <34 baseline, only 14% reached MCID, whereas ≥34, 69% Conclusion A total is strong signal reconsider because chance meaningful Level Evidence II. Type Study Therapeutic.

Background: The patient-rated wrist evaluation (PRWE) score is one of the most common clinical instruments usedas an outcome measurement tool for distal radius fractures and other upper extremity conditions. The purpose of thisstudy was to translate the PRWE into its Persian version and to evaluate its validity and reliability in patients with upperextremity conditions. Methods: One hundred and ...

Background Although foveal tears of the triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) can be surgically reattached to the fovea via a dorsal approach, the foveal lesion is difficult to visualize from the dorsal side because the extensor carpi ulnaris (ECU) sheath floor and the superficial dorsal limb of the radioulnar ligament hinders the view of the fovea. Materials and Methods Twenty-one patients ...
متن کاملWrist Imaging: Ligaments and Triangular Fibrocartilage
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and MR arthrography are both effective means to evaluate the instrinsic and extrinsic ligaments of the wrist, as well as the triangular fibrocartilage (TFC) [1-6]. High resolution detail of the wrist can be achieved with a variety of magnet strengths, with 1.5 Tesla (T) and 3T being the most commonly utilized in current practice. Dedicated wrist coils are critic...

ANATOMY The TFCC is a fibrocartilage-ligament complex which stabilizes the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ), transmits axial load between the carpus and the ulna, and stabilizes the ulnar aspect of the carpus. The TFCC is comprised of the disc proper (articular disc), meniscus homologue, ulnolunate ligament, ulnotriquetral ligament, proximal ligamentous component, volar and dorsal radioulnar liga...
