Patient and provider perspectives regarding criteria for patient prioritization in two specialized rehabilitation programs

To increase fairness and equity in access to rehabilitation services, a strategy emerging from the literature is patient prioritization. Selecting explicit prioritization criteria complex task because it important simultaneously consider objectives of all stakeholders. The this study was compare service users’ providers’ perspectives regarding two programs. We conducted multiple case programs, i.e., driving evaluation program compression garment manufacturing program. sent web-based survey asking groups (patients providers) individually produce set criteria, then individual answers were coded combined single criteria. Stakeholders identified total 32 prioritize patients. Some such as age, occupation, functional level, pain, absence caregiver, time since referral, considered by both stakeholders Patients providers tended have similar opinions about patients waitlists.
