The coronavirus infection, COVID-19, caused by SARS-CoV-2 is associated not only with a wide range of respiratory syndromes, but also pronounced destructive effect on the blood vessels whole body. Age and concomitant pathology predispose to more severe course disease. Endothelial damage, widespread vasculitis thrombosis can be distinguished as general nonspecific pathomorphological changes developing in under influence SARS-CoV-2. For lungs, addition alteration endothelium thrombosis, angiogenesis cleaving (invagination) type was typical. mechanism development vasculopathy direct cytopathic virus endotheliocytes immune-mediated damage endothelium, manifested endotheliitis, destruction intercellular contacts endothelial cells, their swelling separation from basement membrane, accompanied endo- perivascular inflammation. Molecular biological mechanisms invasion involve various ways its penetration into cell forms inflammatory response participation innate acquired immunity reactions.
