Passive Freedom of Education: Educational Choice in Flanders and The Netherlands

According to the ECHR, parents have right their children educated in conformity with own religious and philosophical convictions. In this contribution, we examine how passive freedom of education is granted Belgian (Flemish) Dutch systems, which are both characterised by substantial funding non-governmental (mainly Christian) schools. order do so, will a closer look at diversity between denominational schools as well within these schools, particular focus on school identity policy concerning Religious Education (RE). addition, attention be given organisation RE classes governmental also considered means guarantee education.
