Phorid flies are an abundant and diverse dipteran family in modern faunas, yet poorly represented the fossil record. Here, we describe first species of millipede parasitizing genus Myriophora, M. asiatica n. sp., three new ant Apocephalus, A. miocenus dominicanus chiapanecus sp. discovered Miocene amber deposits from China, Dominican Republic, Mexico, respectively. Moreover, add details on Apocephalus succineus Brown, previously described amber, with observation a specimen. We also include dichotomous key for all

Scuttle flies trapped at baits of dead mice are reported from a region of S. W. Finland subjected to pollution from the smelting of copper and nickel.
