Integrating Electronics and Microfluidics on Paper.
Paper microfluidics and printed electronics have developed independently, and are incompatible in many aspects. Monolithic integration of microfluidics and electronics on paper is demonstrated. This integration makes it possible to print 2D and 3D fluidic, electrofluidic, and electrical components on paper, and to fabricate devices using them.
متن کاملDirect Desktop Printed-Circuits-on-Paper Flexible Electronics
There currently lacks of a way to directly write out electronics, just like printing pictures on paper by an office printer. Here we show a desktop printing of flexible circuits on paper via developing liquid metal ink and related working mechanisms. Through modifying adhesion of the ink, overcoming its high surface tension by dispensingmachine and designing a brush like porous pinhead for prin...
متن کاملHighly transparent paper with tunable haze for green electronics
Transparent paper made of cellulose has attracted increased interest in the scientic community because it enables lighter, cheaper, more exible, and environmentally benign electronics of the future. The ability to modulate the dimension of cellulose bers in the nanoscale and microsized range by advanced processes enables paper to possess a tailored light scattering effect while maintaining h...
متن کاملLiquid on Paper: Rapid Prototyping of Soft Functional Components for Paper Electronics
This paper describes a novel approach to fabricate paper-based electric circuits consisting of a paper matrix embedded with three-dimensional (3D) microchannels and liquid metal. Leveraging the high electric conductivity and good flowability of liquid metal, and metallophobic property of paper, it is possible to keep electric and mechanical functionality of the electric circuit even after a tho...
