چکیده

Local black rice (Oryza sativa L.) is one of the biodiversity in Indonesia, which has tall stature and long cultivation period, easy to lodge, requires more intensive care. Paclobutrazol (PBZ) a plant growth inhibitor compound that could reduce height accelerate plants entering generative phase. This study aimed determine effects PBZ concentration on agronomic character micromorphological profile five local varieties. research was conducted experimentally using completely randomized factorial design. The first factor variety (Brebes, Klaten, Magelang, Pati, Pekalongan ), while second (0, 100, 200, 300 ppm) with three replications. spraying fourth week after planting. data obtained were analyzed ANOVA HSD test (α=5%). results showed concentrations ppm produced heaviest 100 grains. Klaten had wide abaxial stomata, Magelang high stomata density, Pati interaction between Brebes 0 adaxial stomatal variety, have vast trichome density. most tillers, grains per panicle. study's critical findings are gives different micromorphology improvements increases performance rice.

Evaluation and grouping of rice (Oryza sativa L.) genotypes of Central and West Asia using agronomic traits and grain yield

Rice is the staple food of half of the world's population and one of the most important crops in Central and West Asia. To assess variation in some important agronomic traits and grouping of rice genotypes, this study was performed and 49 genotypes from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, and Uzbekistan along with 7 genotypes from Iran were evaluated using randomized ...

Protein profile of rice (Oryza sativa) seeds

Seeds are the most important plant storage organ and play a central role in the life cycle of plants. Since little is known about the protein composition of rice (Oryza sativa) seeds, in this work we used proteomic methods to obtain a reference map of rice seed proteins and identify important molecules. Overall, 480 reproducible protein spots were detected by two-dimensional electrophoresis on ...

Partial diallel analysis of agronomic characters in rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) breeding seeking to combine high productivity and cold tolerance for the temperate Latin America region is an important challenge. We estimated some useful parameters which can be used to investigate the genetic control of agronomic characters in crosses combining cold tolerance and productivity. A partial diallel design was used in crosses between six tropical indica ric...

Metabolic prediction of important agronomic traits in hybrid rice (Oryza sativa L.).

Hybrid crops have contributed greatly to improvements in global food and fodder production over the past several decades. Nevertheless, the growing population and changing climate have produced food crises and energy shortages. Breeding new elite hybrid varieties is currently an urgent task, but present breeding procedures are time-consuming and labour-intensive. In this study, parental metabol...
