چکیده

Abstract Study question To determine whether hypoxic ovarian damage is due to increased growth and follicles “burnout” or apoptosis, this age dependent. Summary answer Direct tissue hypoxia causes activation recruitment of dormant without apoptotic changes. This effect dependent, more pronounced in adult- versus newborn ovaries. What known already In a previous study we have shown that perinatal premature initiation leading diminished reserve. Other reports also linked intrauterine deprivation conditions, delivery small for gestational newborns with reserve follicular exhaustion. Nevertheless, an indirect mechanism influencing follicle under such as the release stress related hormones cannot be ruled out. design, size, duration Animal studies were carried out using adult 6-week-old (n = 8) one-day-old 20) ICR (CD-1) female mice. Throughout study, animals housed alternating 12-h light/dark cycle access food water ad libitum, constant room humidity temperature. Animals sacrificed ovaries harvested immediately cultured Leibovitz media L-Glutamine 10% Fetal Bovine Serum. Participants/materials, setting, methods Ovarian from dams pups was 3 hours at 37oC (1% O2 99% N2) normoxia (21% 5% CO2). Afterwards embedded 4% formaldehyde further processing analyses. Sections stained H&E counts. For immunohistochemistry, sections Ki-67 (proliferation marker), anti-Caspase anti-FOXOp (apoptosis markers). Main results role chance Hypoxia led significant decrease percentage primordial total compared normoxia, both among (3.17±2.75% vs. 17.89±4.4%; p 0.004 40.59±14.88 81.92±31.56%, 0.001 respectively). accompanied by concomitant increases percentages growing (primary secondary) follicles. Strikingly, (6 fold 2 Ki67 staining indicated cell proliferation scores granulosa cells following . Both Caspase FoxoP did not detect any changes markers apoptosis either oocytes, cells, theca stromal when exposed normoxia. Limitations, reasons caution model performed mice generalization human physiology remains determined. Wider implications findings We hereby show direct apoptosis. dependent being Taken together it supports “burn out” potential induced loss Trial registration number IL-117-08-2017

c-Cbl deficiency leads to diminished lymphocyte development and functions in an age-dependent manner.

Aging is broadly defined as a progressive decline of tissue and organ functions due to deregulation of various cell intrinsic and extrinsic factors. In the immune system, aging preferentially affects lymphopoiesis and thus results in the reduced competence of the adaptive immune system in the elderly. Despite recent discoveries that shed light on the molecular basis of aging, pathways that lead...

I-32: Management of Diminished Ovarian Reserve

The standard goal of all fertility treatments is the improvement of pregnancy rates in infertile patients. Within the last 20 years, ovulation induction has contributed to the success of assisted reproduction techniques e.g. in vitro fertilization (IVF) and embryo-transfer (ET). The efficacy of these techniques depends on a personalized protocol of controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) and ...

P-203: Examination of FMR1 Gene Transcription and Protein Expression in Patients with Diminished Ovarian Reserve Reffered to Royan institute

Background: Diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) is a primary infertility disorder characterized by a reduction in the number and/or quality of oocytes, usually accompanied by high follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels and regular menses. DOR aetiology factors are different, such as genetic factors, ageing, autoimmune disorders, adrenal gland impairment factors and iatrogenic causes, e.g. chemo...

P-206: Genetic Variations of FSH Receptor Gene in Patients with Premature Ovarian Failure and Diminished Ovarian Reserve Referred to Royan Institute

Background: Immaturity of the ovarian follicles results in an infertility citation called Premature Ovarian Failure (POF), affecting approximately 1% of women under the age of 40. Women with this disorder go through early menopause and have high levels of gonadotropin hormones (FSH & LH). Diminished Ovarian Reserve (DOR) is another infertility disorder in which women’s ovaries have the ability ...

Thalidomide results in diminished ovarian reserve in reproductive age female IBD patients

The effectiveness of thalidomide in treating inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has been widely recognized. Meanwhile, many serious adverse drug reactions have been observed, but no know reports on ovarian reserve function.Female patients, ranging in age between 18 and 40, were referred to our institution to undergo sex hormone detection and ultrasonic scanning for ovarian function assessment, be...
