چکیده

We report a new procedure for the analysis of oxygen and hydrogen isotopes in water that is experimentally produced high-temperature high-pressure experiments via wavelength-scanned cavity ring down spectroscopy (WS-CRDS). This work builds on recently developed method by Affolter et al. (2014) fluid inclusions cave carbonate deposits. show simple modification setup allows extraction fluids from their noble metal capsules an online line, analyse them without further treatment molecule prior to isotope determination. tested this standard reference samples generated during thermal decomposition hydrous minerals hydrothermally altered rocks. Preliminary results indicate released rocks at conditions 640 °C 100 MPa maintain isotopic compositions close those meteoric involved alteration. Further development application will offer great insights into origin evolution magmatic metamorphic systems, be valuable tool determination derived fluid-melt fluid-mineral fractionation.

Cavity Ringdown Laser Spectroscopy (CRDS):

Cavity Ringdown Spectroscopy has become a widely used technique in the optical absorption analysis of atoms, molecules, and optical components. The technique allows the determination of total optical losses within a closed cavity comprised of two or more mirrors, and can be made arbitrarily more sensitive by improvments in the cavity mirror reflectivity. Part of the great attraction that Cavity...

Magmatic and Metamorphic Fluids in Pegmatite Development: Evidence from Borujerd Complex, Iran

The Borujerd complex of western Iran is composed of intrusions and their surrounding contact aureole, with, pegmatites and quartz veins. Pegmatites differ in mineralogy, origin and age, and two groups can be distinguished. The Older Pegmatites (about 120 Ma age) intruded contact metamorphic rocks from the early magmatic stage, while the Younger pegmatites (52-70 Ma age) formed during the late m...

Stable isotope analysis using tunable diode laser spectroscopy.

Measurements of ratios of stable isotopes are used in such diverse fields as petroleum prospecting, medical diagnostics, and planetary exploration. The narrow emission linewidth available from tunable diode lasers permits high-resolution infrared absorption measurements of closely spaced isotopic rovibrational lines. Our dual beam spectrometer uses the sweep integration technique in a spectral ...

Characterization of gas chemistry and noble-gas isotope ratios of inclusion fluids in magmatic-hydrothermal and magmatic-steam alunite

Chemical and isotope data were obtained for the active gas and noble gas of inclusion fluids in coarse-grained samples of magmatic-hydrothermal and magmatic-steam alunite from well-studied deposits (Marysvale, Utah; Tambo, Chile; Tapajós, Brazil; Cactus, California; Pierina, Peru), most of which are discussed in this Volume. Primary fluid inclusions in the alunite typically are less than 0.2 Am...
