چکیده

Inhibitory effect of ark shell (Scapharca subcrenata (Lischke, 1869)) proteolytic hydrolysates (ASHs) on oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL)-induced macrophage foam cell formation was investigated. Two types ASHs were prepared by Alcalase® and pepsin, ASAH (ark shell-Alcalase® hydrolysates), ASPH shell-pepsin hydrolysate). Oil Red O staining results showed that suppressed lipid accumulation more than in oxLDL-induced RAW264.7 macrophages. reduced the levels total cholesterol, cholesterol ester, free oxLDL-treated It found increased efflux decreased influx rate. In this regard, protein expressions CD36 scavenger receptor class A1 (SR-A1) for ATP-binding cassette transporter G1 (ABCA1 ABCG1) treatment resulted an increase ABCA1 ABCG1 expression but downregulated SR-A1 expression. Furthermore, production proinflammatory cytokines, including tumor necrosis factor-α interleukin-6 -1β, through regulating nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) Taken together, our data indicate might be a useful ingredient functional foods ameliorating atherosclerosis preventing formation.

Inhibitory effect of Cinnamon on prevention of foam cell formation in platelet and monocytes co-culture

Introduction: Atherosclerosis is one of the leading causes of cardiovascular disease. Following endothelial damage and platelet aggregation in that area and the recruitment of monocytes and their conversion to macrophages, LDL gradually accumulates under the endothelial artery wall and gradually oxidized and convert to oxi-LDL. By swallowing it, the macrophages turn into foam cell and then athe...

Puerarin Inhibits oxLDL-Induced Macrophage Activation and Foam Cell Formation in Human THP1 Macrophage

Puerarin, an isoflavone derived from Kudzu roots, has been widely used for treatment of cardiovascular and cerebral vascular diseases in China and other Asian countries. However, the underlying mechanisms are largely unknown. The present study investigated whether puerarin inhibited atherogenic lipid oxLDL-mediated macrophage activation and foam cell formation in human THP1 macrophage. Treatmen...

Purification, Characterization and in vitro Anti-Tumor Activity of Proteins from Arca subcrenata Lischke

Two purified proteins G-6 and G-4-2 were obtained from Arca subcrenata Lischke using the homogenization, salting-out with ammonium sulfate, ion-exchange chromatography and gel filtration chromatography techniques. The purity of G-6 and G-4-2 was over 96%, as measured by RP-HPLC. G-6 and G-4-2 were measured by SDS-PAGE and IEF-PAGE to have molecular weights of 8.2 kDa and 16.0 kDa, and isoelectr...
