چکیده

BACKGROUND : Oxidative stress may be one of the mechanisms for development complications in DM and many forms CKD. However, influence this factor on metabolism sialoglycoconjugates, which actively participates regulatory processes body, is unknown. AIM comparative study effect lipoic acid parameters liver sialoglycoconjugate rats with alloxan diabetes mellitus. MATERIALS AND METHODS Studies were conducted white male weighing 180–220 grams. The animals divided into three groups: first second groups, mellitus (DM) was caused by a single subcutaneous injection tetrahydrate (AT). Animals group received intramuscularly; third consisted intact rats. On 5, 10, 20, 30 40 days after AT, comprehensive examination animal’s condition performed: 1) determination level glycemia; 2) assessment degree oxidative content TBK-active products liver; 3) dynamics exchange sialoglycoconjugates (free, oligo-and protein-bound sialic acids, sialidase activity). RESULTS 106 rats, each experimental had 48 animals, control — 10. It found that administration α-lipoic to leads decrease glycemia. introduction did not reduce activity all fractions liver, although it reduced body. CONCLUSION Supplementation significantly under organism. increased rate alloxan-diabetic indicate restructuring hepatocyte adapt whole organism prolonged hyperglycemia insulin deficiency conditions.

Hepatoprotective Effects of Silymarin on Liver Injury via Irisin Upregulation and Oxidative Stress Reduction in Rats with Type 2 Diabetes

Background: Diabetes is one of the most prevalent metabolic diseases. Irisin (FNDC5 protein) is involved in the new strategy of combating type 2 diabetes. In the liver, the antidiabetic mechanism of silymarin at the molecular level is unknown. This study investigated the effects of silymarin on irisin and the related gene expression and oxidative stress status in the liver of type 2 diabetic ra...

Oxidative Stress in Diabetes Mellitus

Our aim was to evaluate oxidative stress in diabetes mellitus by the measurement of biophysical parameters (changes) of hemoglobin macromolecule and some biochemical parameters on two groups of diabetic patients, non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM), and insulindependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM). This study has been conducted on 45 NIDDM, 30 IDDM, compared to 20 healthy subjects. Blo...

Oxidative stress in diabetes mellitus

Oxidative stress is the outcome of an imbalance between the production and neutralization of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS) such that the antioxidant capacity of cell is overwhelmed. The present review briefly summarized the underlying role of overwhelming levels of RONS in the pathophysiology of diabetes mellitus (DM). The primary causative factor of oxidative stress in DM is hype...

Protective Effect of Exercise on Liver Oxidative Stress, Inflammation and Histopathological Changes after Morphine Withdrawal in ‎Rats

Background and purpose: The harmful effects of morphine on the liver after withdrawal syndrome are unclear. In this experiment, we investigated the effects of exercise on oxidative stress, liver inflammation, liver enzymes, and liver histology after morphine withdrawal in rats. Materials and methods: In this experimental study, male Wistar rats (n=30) were randomly divided into five groups: ‎...
