OVERVOLTAGE PROTECTION OF PV MICROINSTALLATIONS – REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS AND SIMULATION MODEL

In low-voltage power networks with a large share of distributed energy sources, the phenomenon overvoltage is increasingly observed. Although it may be desirable to raise voltage value downstream network, in some cases upper allowable limit exceeded. The method eliminating rises commonly used Polish system installation protections, disconnecting source from grid. Such action reduces profitability prosumer installations, discouraging future potential investors. It turns out, however, that this not only disadvantage such solution. Sudden and uncoordinated disconnections reconnections more sources cause abrupt changes negatively affect conditions network. aim paper present operating algorithms standard relay inverters photovoltaic microinstallations.
