چکیده
Background: Ventricular septal defect (VSD) is the most common congenital heart disease. Transcatheter VSD closure an effective treatment for patients with muscular and perimembranous VSD. However, there a limit data outlet VSD, especially impact to aortic valve leaflet after transcatheter closure. This study aims assess outcomes of outlet-type ventricular (OVSD) 1 postoperative year. Methods: A retrospective was performed including 50 who underwent (n = 25) surgical OVSD during exact time frame at two medical centres. Results: The median age body weight in group were significantly higher than those (7.0 vs. 2.8 years; 27.0 11.4 kg; p < 0.01). size larger that (5.0 3.0 mm; p < All have successful (100%) as Less small residual shunt present 20% 8% immediately procedure groups (p = 0.50), which decreased 12% 4% 1-year follow-up 0.61), respectively. No incidence complete atrioventricular block other complications observed both groups, no significant differences noted new onset or worsening regurgitation 1.0). Conclusions: could be effectively safely achieved follow-up.

OBJECTIVES To determine the effects of atrial septal defects (ASD) and their closure on systolic and diastolic right and left ventricular function; and by comparing surgical closure with transcatheter device closure, to establish differences attributable to cardiopulmonary bypass. Traditional treatment of muscular ventricular septal defect (VSD) is surgical closure, but it carries considerable morbidity and mortality. The Amplatzer muscular VSD occluder (AGA Medical Corporation, Plymouth, MN, USA) was approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration in September 2007 and by the Taiwan Department of Health in September 2009. It is a self-expandable double-disc d...

OBJECTIVES The starting hypothesis was that some perimembranous ventricular septal defects can be closed safely and effectively with a Bard Rashkind double umbrella introduced through a long transvenous sheath. BACKGROUND Transcatheter balloon valvuloplasty has been the accepted first line treatment for congenital pulmonic stenosis (PS) in children. Transcatheter closure of perimembranous ventricular septal defect (VSD) with Amplatzer VSD occluder is an alternative to surgical repair. CASE PRESENTATION A 12 year old boy presented with history of exertional dyspnea and atypical chest pain. Physical f...
