چکیده
Palmer type IB triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) is one of the most common causes ulnar wrist pain. The primary surgical treatment for these lesions open and arthroscopic technique to repair TFCC. This study was carried out describe result both techniques in TFCC injuries. A retrospective on 18 patients with at Hospital Traumatology Orthopaedics Ho Chi Minh City from 2019 2021. Results showed that there were 13 female a mean age 34.8±8.1 years old, 5 male 19.4±2.3 old. Of which, 10 underwent surgery, accounting 55.6%, 8 44.4%. follow-up time group 17.6±9.7 months, surgery 18.8±4.6 months. visual analog scale (VAS) score 1.3±1.8, 0.62±0.74 final follow-up. had an average 83±15.1, 88.1±8.4 Mayo modified (p>0.05). In all cases, excellent 6 good 3 satisfactory cases 1 poor case. complications nerve injuries 2 prominent suture knot followed by extensor carpi tendonitis group, knots case pin infection. conclusion, treating gave similar results, choice method depends surgeon’s reference. However, risk injury higher group.

Triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC)
ANATOMY The TFCC is a fibrocartilage-ligament complex which stabilizes the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ), transmits axial load between the carpus and the ulna, and stabilizes the ulnar aspect of the carpus. The TFCC is comprised of the disc proper (articular disc), meniscus homologue, ulnolunate ligament, ulnotriquetral ligament, proximal ligamentous component, volar and dorsal radioulnar liga...
متن کاملA Non-surgical Intervention for Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex Tears.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE The current literature contains no reports of treatment options other than surgery following failed conservative management of a triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) tear. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of a novel brace as a non-surgical intervention for TFCC tears. METHODS This paper is a case study of a subject with a magnetic resonance imaging-c...
متن کاملTriangular fibrocartilage complex tears: a review.
Triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) tears are a common source of ulnar sided wrist pain. Originally described by Palmer, in 1981, as a complex of several structures, our understanding of the anatomy and the function of the TFCC has been refined by histologic studies. The TFCC plays an important role in load bearing across the wrist as well as in distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ) stabilization...
متن کاملTriangular fibrocartilage complex lesions: a classification.
Based on anatomic and biomechanical studies and review of our clinical experience of the past 10 years, a classification of injuries to the triangular fibrocartilage complex is presented. This classification is based on the clinical examination, routine x-ray films, wrist arthrograms, wrist arthroscopy, and wrist arthrotomy. The classification recognizes both traumatic and degenerative lesions....

From September 1996 to September 1997, 27 adult patients were diagnosed with chronic triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) tears with distal radioulna joint (DRUJ) instability in our clinic. They all received the procedure of TFCC reconstruction with partial extensor carpi ulnaris (ECU) tendon combined with or without ulnar shortening. There were 26 males and one female in the study with a m...
