چکیده

Background. Materials degrading after implantation into bone are in the field of actual vision orthopediс surgeon. These materials include polylactides, which ideal material for creating implants 3D-printer, especially complex shapes and different sizes. The purpose study is to conduct a comparative analysis remodeling under conditions polylactide 3D-printed screws metadiaphyseal diaphyseal defects rat femur. methods. Comparative Ingeo™ Biopolymer 4032D femur 15, 30, 90, 180 270 days conducted. After polylactide, areas with were examined by histological method determination osteointegration index. Results. It was found that all periods kept their shape, surrounded tissue. osseointegration index on 270th day 97.1 94.3 %, respectively, statistically higher compared 15th 2.2 2.3 times (p < 0.001). Conclusions. polylactide-based biocompatible, have high qualities, do not cause inflammation surrounding soft tissues marrow, lead destructive changes sites. At end (270 days), degradation found, makes it possible use fixation or filling cavities compact spongy bones long time.

Melatonin stimulates osteointegration of dental implants.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the topical application of melatonin on osteointegration of dental implants in Beagle dogs 14 days after their insertion. In preparation for subsequent insertion of dental implants, upper and lower premolars and molars were extracted from 12 Beagle dogs. Each mandible received cylindrical screw implants of 3.25 mm in diameter and 10 mm in leng...

Comparison of microfocus- and synchrotron X-ray tomography for the analysis of osteointegration around Ti6Al4V implants.

Micro-computed tomography (microCT) provides quantitative three-dimensional information of bone around titanium implants similar to classical histology. The study, based on an animal model, containing cuboid-shaped biofunctionalised Ti6Al4V implants with surrounding bone after 4 weeks, is performed using 3 microCT-systems with X-ray tubes, one synchrotron-radiation-based microCT-system (SRmicro...

Anodic oxidation of titanium for implants and prosthesis: processing, characterization and potential improvement of osteointegration

Among all biomaterials used for bone replacement, it is recognized that both commercially pure titanium (Ti c.p.) and Ti6Al4V alloy are the materials that show the best in vivo performance due to their excellent balance between mechanical, physical-chemical and biofunctional properties. However, one of its main drawbacks, which compromise the service reliability of the implants and its osteoint...

Electrochemical coating of dental implants with anodic porous titania for enhanced osteointegration

Clinical long-term osteointegration of titanium-based biomedical devices is the main goal for both dental and orthopedical implants. Both the surface morphology and the possible functionalization of the implant surface are important points. In the last decade, following the success of nanostructured anodic porous alumina, anodic porous titania has also attracted the interest of academic researc...

Anti-infective and osteointegration properties of silicon nitride, poly(ether ether ketone), and titanium implants.

Silicon nitride (Si(3)N(4)) is an industrial ceramic used in spinal fusion and maxillofacial reconstruction. Maximizing bone formation and minimizing bacterial infection are desirable attributes in orthopedic implants designed to adhere to living bone. This study has compared these attributes of Si(3)N(4) implants with implants made from two other orthopedic biomaterials, i.e. poly(ether ether ...
