Oscillatory Loomis—Whitney and Projections of Sublevel Sets

نویسندگان

چکیده

We consider an oscillatory integral operator with Loomis—Whitney multilinear form. The phase is real analytic in a neighborhood of the origin ℝd and satisfies nondegeneracy condition related to its Newton polyhedron. Maximal decay obtained for this certain cases, depending on polyhedron given Lebesgue exponents. Our estimates imply volumes sublevel sets such functions are small relative product areas projections onto coordinate hyperplanes.

Bounds for Multilinear Sublevel Sets

The question in the form (1.2) was posed by Li, Tao, Thiele, and this author in [5]. Nonoscillatory inequalities of the form ∫ ∏ j |fj◦`j | . ∏ j ‖fj‖Lpj have been studied in [1],[2]. Oscillatory integral inequalities of this type have been extensively studied for n = 2, where one is dealing with bilinear forms 〈Tλ(f1), f2〉. The associated linear operators Tλ are commonly known as oscillatory i...

Uniform geometric estimates for sublevel sets

This paper reconsiders the uniform sublevel set estimates of Carbery, Christ, and Wright [5] and Phong, Stein, and Sturm [17] from a geometric perspective. This perspective leads one to consider a natural collection of homogeneous, nonlinear differential operators which generalize mixed derivatives in R. As a consequence, it is shown that, in the case of both of these previous works, improved u...

Perimeter of sublevel sets in infinite dimensional spaces

We compare the perimeter measure with the Airault-Malliavin surface measure and we prove that all open convex subsets of abstract Wiener spaces have finite perimeter. By an explicit counter–example, we show that in general this is not true for compact convex domains.

Witness sets of projections

Elimination is a basic algebraic operation which geometrically corresponds to projections. This article describes using the numerical algebraic geometric concept of witness sets to compute the projection of an algebraic set. The ideas described in this article apply to computing the image of an algebraic set under any linear map.
