چکیده
The oscillating onset of the Rayleigh–Bénard convection with viscoelastic fluids in a slightly tilted two-dimensional rectangular cavity an aspect ratio Γ = 2 was investigated for first time via direct numerical simulation. A series simulations were conducted plane Rayleigh number (Ra) and tilt angle (α∈[0°, 5°]) three Weissenberg numbers [Wi=(0.1,0.15,0.2)] at fixed Prandtl Pr 7.0. evolutionary path (Wi,α)-plane determined, corresponding complex flow structures observed. inclination box delays oscillations Rac as compared to horizontal configuration. Oscillating acquire attributes traveling wave. specific feature case is that periodicity space exists inclined well. However, evolution oscillatory structure very different from counterclockwise cell assimilates clockwise [Zheng et al., “Pattern selection nonlinear fluids,” Phys. Rev. Fluids 7, 023301 (2022)].

The Effects of an Imposed Magnetic Field on Natural Convection in a Tilted Cavity with Partially Active Vertical Walls:Numerical Approach
The effect of imposed magnetic field on natural convection in a tilted cavity with partially active walls was investigated numerically. The active part of the right side wall was at a higher temperature than the active part of the left side wall and were moving on vertical walls relative to each other. The top, the bottom and the remaining parts of the side walls were insulated. The magnetic fi...

The influence of inertia and elasticity on the onset and stability of 3-D thermal convection is examined for highly elastic polymeric solutions with constant viscosity. These solutions are known as Boger fluids, and their rheology is approximated by the Oldroyd-B constitutive equation. The onset and the stability of steady convective patterns, namely rolls, hexagons and squares, are studied in ...
متن کاملInvestigation of Natural Convection in a Vertical Cavity Filled with a Anisotropic Porous Media
In present paper, a numerical analysis for a rectangular cavity filled with a anisotropic porous media has been studied. It is assumed that the horizontal walls are adiabatic and impermeable, while the side walls of the cavity are maintained at constant temperatures and concentrations. The buoyancy force that induced the fluid motion are assumed to be cooperative. In the two extreme cases o...
متن کاملCFD analysis of natural convection heat transfer in a square cavity with partitions utilizing Al2O3 nanofluid
In the present study, natural convective heat transfer in a partitioned square cavity utilizing nanofluids is studied. The vertical left and right walls are considered as the hot and cold walls, respectively and the partitions assumed to be adiabatic. The nanofluid used in this study is Al2O3 with the volume fraction of 20%. It is assumed that nanofluid is a single phase f...
