چکیده
In this study, a time-domain reflectometry (TDR) system based on baseband version of the orthogonal chirp-division multiplexing (OCDM) scheme, which is relies modified discrete Fresnel transform (DFnT), proposed for power line sensing. After detailed description model, multiple access scheme that exploits contolution theorem DFnT enabling distributed reflectometric and transferometric sensing monitored line. Considering typical European underground low-voltage US overhead medium-voltage (MV) distribution networks, range resolution maximum unambiguous measurements are assessed scheme. Next, comparison with schemes Hermitian symmetric frequency-division (HS-OFDM) discussed in previous work performed considering Brazilian MV scenario, being number obtained over time, as well signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) used performance metrics. The attained results show same others. Also, highest time by produces orthogonality among signals transmitted different modems (PLMs) neither nor frequency domains, but rather domain. Meanwhile, although its yielded SINR values fair PLMs consisting system, slightly outperformed HS-OFDM code-division at some PLMs.

Empirical Mode Decomposition based Adaptive Filtering for Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Channel Estimation
This paper presents an empirical mode decomposition (EMD) based adaptive filter (AF) for channel estimation in OFDM system. In this method, length of channel impulse response (CIR) is first approximated using Akaike information criterion (AIC). Then, CIR is estimated using adaptive filter with EMD decomposed IMF of the received OFDM symbol. The correlation and kurtosis measures are used to sel...
متن کاملPeak-to-Average Power Ratio Performance Analysis for Orthogonal Chirp Division Multiplexing Multicarrier Systems Based on Discrete Fractional Cosine Transform
In doubly selective fading channels, the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) multicarrier system may fail. Chirp like basis (fractional Fourier transformfractional cosine transform) may be used instead of complex exponential basis in this case to improve the system performance. However, in multicarrier transmission, the high peak to average power ratio (PAPR) of the transmitted si...
متن کاملAn Efficient Hierarchical Modulation based Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Transmission Scheme for Digital Video Broadcasting
Due to the increase of users the efficient usage of spectrum plays an important role in digital terrestrial television networks. In digital video broadcasting, local and global content are transmitted by single frequency network and multifrequency network respectively. Multifrequency network support transmission of global content and it consumes large spectrum. Similarly local content are well ...
متن کاملSlepian Bases and Chirp-based Channel Estimation for Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (ofdm) Systems
To increase the efficiency of the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission, we generate orthogonal frequency basis using Slepian’s discrete prolate spheroidal sequences that are most concentrated within a discrete time interval and most band-limited within a bandwidth. These basis functions do not display the frequency spreading of the commonly used rectangular sequences. ...
