Organizing bell hooks’ Frameworks for Interrogating Representations

The feminist bell hooks is a staunch critic of sexist, racist, and classist media representations. Despite this, has been called out for being unscholarly disorganized in her cultural criticism. Through close reading hooks’ works, this paper attempts to make sense organize criticism frameworks toward possible system critical discourse analysis. Hooks’ works are taken apart examine how the parts fit together understand order, interventions, intellectual motivations methods. Certain processes by which these may be used scholars critics interrogating sex, race, class, other intersectional representations also discussed.
