South West Vascular Surgeons, February 1990 Meeting

This study reviewed 113 elderly patients after embolectomy over a 10 year period, (median age 77, M:F 46:67). The 30 day mortality was 43%. This was associated with, age >80yrs., failed embolectomy, and aorto-iliac occlusions (P<0.05).
