Optimum location of a single longitudinal stiffener with various cross-section shapes of steel plate girders under bending loading

چکیده
This paper aims at investigating the optimum location of a single longitudinal stiffener having various cross-section types steel plate girders subjected to bending loading. The is found using gradient-based Interior-Point (IP) optimization algorithm. procedure involves linear elastic buckling analysis with finite element method, which coupled aforementioned IP algorithm and used calculate coefficient, maximized. Based on results, effect web slenderness ratio position investigated. It that closed cross-sections larger ratios lead higher critical coefficients.
