چکیده
Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) are a group of biopolymers used as an alternative to petroleum-based synthetic plastics. Their industrial application is not widely available due production cost constraints, mainly from raw materials for carbon sources. This research focuses on selecting Bacillus strain lipid-containing wastewater that can produce PHAs crude glycerol and investigating the optimum conditions producing glycerol. The was isolated storage pond at fermented pork sausage manufacturing plant in Thailand utilizing Mineral Salt Medium (MSM) with 1 % w/v glucose source. synthesis preliminarily investigated by staining cells Sudan Black B. FMI3 produced highest 43 dry cell weight (DCW). It identified pumilus FMI3. Crude obtained by-product transesterification waste cooking oil catalysed NaOH. partially purified acidification neutralization exhibited about 80 w/w glycerol, 1.90 ± 0.09 ash content, 2.80 0.14 water light brown colour, pH 7.11 0.35. Isolated grows best produces yields under conditions, i.e., MSM containing ammonium sulphate 61:1 mole ratio nitrogen sources respectively, 15 inoculum, initial neutral 7, shaking 150 rpm 40 °C 72 h. These achieved 79 DCW, classified medium-chain-length comprising 3-hydroxyoctanoate,3-hydroxydecanoate, 3-hydroxydodecanoate, 3-hydroxytetradecanoate 9, 12, 67 12 %, respectively. study reported feasibility feedstock strain, which able grow tolerate salts HIGHLIGHTS Bacteria endure extreme environments (i.e., very limited nutrients; drought chemicals) polyhydroxyalkanoates presented yield achieve condition GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT

Characterization of Crude Glycerol from Biodiesel Production from Multiple Feedstocks
Glycerol is the principal by-product of biodiesel production. For each gallon of biodiesel produced, approximately 0.3 kg of crude glycerol accompanies. Such crude glycerol possesses very low value because of the impurities contained. As the demand and production of biodiesel grow exponentially, the utilization of the glycerol becomes an urgent topic. The make-up of crude glycerol varies depend...
متن کاملPolyhydroxyalkanoate Producing Novel Bacillus sp., SKM11 isolated from Polluted Pond Water
Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) are a family of bio polyesters synthesized by many types of bacteria as carbon and energy reserve materials, Anderson AJ et al (1990). PHA can be divided into three classes depending on the number of carbon atoms in their monomer units; shortchain-length (SCL), medium-chain-length (MCL) and longchain-length polyhydroxyalkanoates (LCLPHAs), composed by hydroxyacids. P...

متن کاملStatistical Optimization of Crude Oil Biodegradation by Marinobacter sp. Isolated from Qeshm Island, Iran
Background: Hydrocarbons degradation is principally achieved by microorganisms in natural environments. The extent of hydrocarbons biodegradation is mainly conditioned by environmental factors and its success depends on the optimal condition for the crude oil degrading isolates. Objectives: The aims of the current study was to isolate and identify crude oil degrading bacterium from surface sed...
متن کاملBiosynthesis of Polyhydroxyalkanoate from Steamed Soybean Wastewater by a Recombinant Strain of Pseudomonas sp. 61-3
Pseudomonas sp. 61-3 accumulates a blend of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) [P(3HB)] homopolymer and a random copolymer, poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyalkanoate) [P(3HB-co-3HA)], consisting of 3HA units of 4-12 carbon atoms. Pseudomonas sp. 61-3 possesses two types of PHA synthases, PHB synthase (PhbC) and PHA synthases (PhaC1 and PhaC2), encoded by the phb and pha loci, respectively. The P(94 mol...
