Optimizing Camera Stream Transport in Cloud-Based Industrial Robotic Systems

Combining visual-guided robotics with cloud networking brought a new era into industrial robotic research and development. New challenges have to be tackled focus on providing proper communication data processing setup: sensor as well the control software should decoupled from local robot hardware move cloud. In emerging field of robotics, there are trade-offs that handled. More more sensors such cameras being integrated but it comes cost. All sensory sent through often limited resources, while latency must kept low possible. this paper we propose general solution for efficient camera stream transportation in systems. After introducing our test scenario used elements, detailed overview architecture is presented describing each task components. The goal examine current implementations ROS environment implement method. performance proposed method investigated compared other solutions evidenced by measurements.
