Optimization of tool geometric parameters for a small fluteless forming tap (FFT)

چکیده

The small blind internal thread (SBIT) plays a very important role to firmly fastening some functional components on the cover of 3C electronic products. was made in hole using fluteless forming tap (FFT) without producing chips. However, four geometric parameters FFT (tool width (W), tooth root diameter (D2), front-end (Df), and angle (?)) will affect filling rate (f) minimum torque (T) tapping process. This study reports Box-Behnken design (BBD), combined with DEFORM-3D (finite element model) MINITAB (regression analysis) software, 7075-T6 aluminum alloy obtain reliable results torque. experimental show that BBD can accurately predict simulate alloy. modeling software used this research are suitable for optimal industrial production.
