Optimization of the natural dyes extraction (Madder and Wallonia oak) and Cotton Dyeing Using Microwave Irradiation

چکیده
In this work, microwave irradiation was used to extract two dye plants (Quercus ithaburansis Decaisne and Rubia tinctorum L.) natural cotton. Using (MW) energy, the extraction time for these dyeing organic cotton fabric were optimized. The colouring compounds analysed in extractions dyed fabrics by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic method coupled with a photodiode array detector (RP-HPLC PAD). CIEL*a*b* spectrophotometer measured colour characteristics of all fabrics. Scanning electron microscopy energy dispersion spectroscopy (SEM-EDX) image colouristic colourfastness properties investigated. According test results, it has been determined that 5 minutes using is very eligible. During processes, timesavings achieved eco-friendly MW minimized damage.

A Comparative Study on Dyeing of Cotton and Silk Fabric Using Madder as a Natural Dye
Madder is considered the queen of the reds which is one of the oldest used natural dyes. In this study, madder was applied to cotton and silk fabrics by using mordants in various ways to investigate the coloring effects. Alum and copper sulphate were used as mordants not only before and after dyeing process but also during the process. The aqueous extract of the dye was applied on the scoured c...
متن کاملDyeing of Cotton Fabric with Natural Dyes Improved by Mordants and Plasma Treatment
Nowadays, there is a great tendency for eco-dyeing and finishing of textiles with natural products. several natural dyes have been used for dyeing of protein fibers but a low number have the ability to dye cotton fiber because of low affinity of cellulose to the natural dyes. In this study madder and weld natural colorants were used to dye cotton fabric premordanted with three metallic salt...
متن کاملDyeing Properties Using Natural Dyes from Rhubarb:
In this investigation dyeing of alginate fiber was carried out after cationic treatment of 11 EPTAC (2, 3-Epoxypropyl Trimethyl Ammonium Chloride). Optimum dyeing process and 12 parameter show good dyeing performance when alginate fiber dyed with rhubarb dye. In addition 13 to cationic treatment is taken into account for alginate fiber to improve fastness, color strength, 14 breaking strength. ...
متن کاملSeparation Of Dyes From Cotton Dyeing Effluent Using Cationic Polyelectrolytes
The separation of reactive, sulfur, and vat dyes from cotton dyeing effluent was investigated by a coagulation process using a cationic polymer electrolyte (PE). The coagulation of dyes was found to be considerably influenced by the amount of added PE and pH of the effluent. High degree of separation, (i.e.-90-99%) could be achieved for all the dyes. The secondary treatment of the PE treated (p...
