Optimization of Surface Roughness and Tool Wear during Machining of AMMC using Taguchi Technique

Metal matrix composite materials are used in several industrial applications due to its improved specifi c strength, capacity, good wear resistance, and high modulus so on. In this work, the Aluminium alloy Al6061 is as 15% of volume fraction silicon carbide reinforcing element fabricate a MMC by stir casting process. The turning process parameters metal (AMMC) considered work cutting speed, feed, nozzle diameter steam pressure responses surface roughness tool wear. Taguchi technique research obtain optimum results S/N ratio quality characteristics L32 orthogonal array conduct 32 experiments. It observed that AMMC highly infl uenced it contributes 19.87% Tool 7.12%.
