Optimization of process parameters in coagulation of landfill leachate by Al2(SO4)3 and PACl

In this study, landfill leachate treatment by coagulation and optimization of process parameters were aimed. Alum (Al2(SO4)3) Poly Aluminum Chloride (PACl) used as coagulants to remove total suspended solids (TSS) from leachate, coagulant dose, reaction time, pH optimized variables. The Box-Behnken, one the response surface methodology designs, was in modeling process. R2 values very high (>95%) for TSS removal models sufficiently good agreement with experimental results. efficiencies processes alum PACl under optimum conditions determined model 62.1% 76.4%, respectively while operating 60.8% 75.1% processes, respectively. According results both effective is a useful tool optimizing parameters. efficiency conducted higher than that Thus, it can be inferred more study.
