چکیده

Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) display surface plasmon resonance (SPR) as a result of their irradiation at targeted light frequency. SPR also results in heat production that increases the temperature surrounding environment, affecting polymerization. The aim was to investigate effect AuNPs on dimethacrylate-based photopolymer system. tested composites were designed overlap illumination required for polymerization and effect. 5 nm-sized dodecanethiol capped applied different concentrations matrix irradiated with green (? = 532 nm), where Irgacure 784 photoinitiator absorbs light. plasmonic investigated refractive index change by imaging (SPRi) supplemented ellipsometry. Moreover, optical transmission electron micrographs (TEM), diametral tensile stress (DTS), confocal Raman spectroscopy performed determine degree conversion (DC) 1.0, 1.4, 2.0 mW/cm2 intensities. It found optimal conditions 0.0208 wt% concentration 1.4 intensity which change, DTS, DC data all maximal. study confirmed are applicable improve efficiency dental composite resin.

Importance of Plasmonic Heating on Visible Light Driven Photocatalysis of Gold Nanoparticle Decorated Zinc Oxide Nanorods

Herein we explore the role of localized plasmonic heat generated by resonantly excited gold (Au) NPs on visible light driven photocatalysis process. Au NPs are deposited on the surface of vertically aligned zinc oxide nanorods (ZnO NRs). The localized heat generated by Au NPs under 532 nm continuous laser excitation (SPR excitation) was experimentally probed using Raman spectroscopy by followin...

Double active control of the plasmonic resonance of a gold nanoparticle array.

A two-fold active control of the plasmonic resonance of randomly distributed gold nanoparticles (GNPs) has been achieved. GNPs have been immobilized on an Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) coated glass substrate and then covered with a liquid crystalline compound. The system has been investigated by means of atomic force and scanning electron microscopy, revealing the presence of isolated and well distrib...

Plasmonic photo-current in freestanding monolayered gold nanoparticle membranes.

We report on photo-current generation in freestanding monolayered gold nanoparticle membranes excited by using a focused laser beam. The absence of a substrate leads to a 50% increase of the photo-current at the surface plasmon resonance. This current is attributed to a combination of trap state dynamics and bolometric effects in a nanocomposite medium yielding a temperature rise of 40 K.
