Optimization of air mass flow in a PEM fuel cell

In our work, we focused on measuring the performance characteristics of a test hydrogen fuel cell with an open cathode. The aim work was to verify effect mass flow through power output as function current density and voltage cell. A bench capable testing cells up 2000 W used measure characteristics. composed three its total membrane area 100 cm2. PIV measurement system flow. performed at inlet measurements included determination temperature distribution using thermal imaging camera. presented were for two configurations original optimized diffuser fans. Finally, overall management is discussed, including newly designed diffuser.
