Optimal sensor placement is used to establish the optimal quantity and layout. In this study, minimum locations of measurement sensors were assumed satisfy constraint conditions placement. A set strain data in a truss structure was expanded another displacements corresponding entire degrees freedom from relationship between displacement. It indicates reduce number because depends on finite element model. The damaged traced using that satisfied prescribed constraints. proposed method has merit explicitly determine without any numerical scheme statistical methods. applied damage detection single-damaged structure. shown depended layout irrespective same sensors. addition, example compare sensitivities based existence external noise contained data.
