Optimal Onsite Microgrid Design for Net-Zero Energy Operation in Manufacturing Industry

Developing an economic net-zero energy infrastructure for the manufacturing industry can play a critical role to achieve goal of affordable, reliable, and sustainable clean paradigm next generation. However, it is quite challenging develop such due uncertain demand system, intermittent electricity generation from renewable sources, time use (TOU) pricing electricity, integrated operational planning long-term horizon. In this paper, mixed-integer non-linear programming (MINLP) model developed economically design onsite microgrid system considering conditions operation industry. A linearization strategy adopted obtain optimal utilization resources. numerical case study conducted evaluate effectiveness model.
