Optimal Multi-Objective Resource Allocation for D2D Underlaying Cellular Networks in Uplink Communications

In this paper, we study a resource allocation problem in orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA)-based Device-to-Device (D2D) communications. To end, propose multi-objective optimization (MOOP) framework, which jointly maximizes the sum rate of D2D users (DUs) and cellular (CUs) uplink communications minimizes total transmit power. The proposed formulation takes into account minimum data-rates maximum transmitted power budget for both DUs CUs. We transform MOOP single-objective (SOOP) using weighted method then an approach to solve SOOP via monotonic yielding efficient optimal solution. Furthermore, suboptimal solution based on successive convex approximation (SCA) is presented compromise complexity performance gain. This done reveal that closely approaches through simulation analysis. Numerical results unveil interesting tradeoff between D2Ds CUs demonstrate superiority our compared other baseline schemes.
