Optimal Mileage of Electric Vehicles Considering Range Anxiety and Charging Times

This paper aims to find out the optimal mileage of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) by considering trade-off between range anxiety and charging times, since frequent is a customary way ease for BEV drivers in practice, but declines life cycle increases cost. We propose power function measure then solve two types mileages. The results show that increment BEVs’ cruising absolute decreases relative mileage, while improvement driver’s tolerance both. It concluded improving tolerance, such as expanding infrastructures raising drivers’ practical experience with BEVs, more effective than range. findings help understand EVs provide recommendations on design
