Optically Tunable Diffraction Efficiency in Reflection Grating Written in Photomobile Polymers

In this work, we report the fabrication and optical characterization of a one-dimensional reflection holographic volume phase grating recorded in recently developed photomobile composite polymer mixture. The on material was periodic arrangement hard polymeric walls viscous regions. notch located near-infrared region electromagnetic spectrum. transmission efficiency modulated by an external CW laser light source operating at λ = 532 nm. increased with increase power source, range used values, phenomenon completely reversible. At highest levels, 48% diffraction achieved. related to growth refractive-index contrast grating. particular, under illumination, escaped from irradiated area. This feature explains experimentally observed changes values grating’s refractive index.
