Optical conductivity of the Hubbard model at finite temperature.
The optical conductivity, σ(ω), of the two dimensional one-band Hubbard model is calculated at finite temperature using exact diagonalization techniques on finite clusters. The in-plane d.c. resistivity, ρab, is also evaluated. We find that at large U/t and temperature T, ρab is approximately linear with temperature, in reasonable agreement with experiments on high-Tc superconductors. Moreover,...
متن کاملOptical conductivity of the infinite-dimensional Hubbard model.
A Monte Carlo-maximum entropy calculation of the optical conductivity of the infinite-dimensional Hubbard model is presented. We show that the optical conductivity displays the anomalies found in the cuprate superconductors, including a Drude width which grows linearly with temperature, a Drude weight which grows linearly with doping, and a temperature and doping-dependent mid-IR peak. These an...
متن کاملOptical conductivity of the one-dimensional dimerized Hubbard model at quarter filling
We investigate the optical conductivity in the Mott insulating phase of the one-dimensional extended Hubbard model with alternating hopping terms (dimerization) at quarter band filling. Optical spectra are calculated for the various parameter regimes using the dynamical density-matrix renormalization group method. The study of limiting cases allows us to explain the various structures found num...
متن کاملFinite-temperature superconducting correlations of the Hubbard model
We utilize numerical linked-cluster expansions (NLCEs) and the determinantal quantum Monte Carlo algorithm to study pairing correlations in the square-lattice Hubbard model. To benchmark the NLCE, we first locate the finite-temperature phase transition of the attractive model to a superconducting state away from half filling. We then explore the superconducting properties of the repulsive model...
متن کاملComment on ’ Symmetry properties of magnetization in the Hubbard model at finite temperature ’ ” Gang
In replying to the comment (cond-mat/9807402), we point out that the statements by Avella, Mancini and Villani on our papers are simply wrong. Actually, they made simple mistakes and performed false calculations. We take cautions for the assertion that the exact relations for finite temperatures we found before can be simply extended down to zero temperature. In their recent comment [1], Avella...
