The paper is devoted to the analysis of operating cycle a high-pressure injection pump used in common rail systems. investigation based on experimental activities, and it carried out novel set-up that allows measurements instantaneous pressure piston working chamber. A single plunger has been equipped with piezo-resistive transducer which for measurement signal during operation test rig. describes set-up, modified transducer, tests out. Main results obtained using standard commercial diesel fuel are discussed at first; secondly, focus moves use an alternative (biodiesel) whose features terms bulk modulus, viscosity, density significantly differ from reference fuel.
