چکیده

• PREVENT-AD is openly releasing datasets to the neuroscience community. a longitudinal study of older adults at-risk Alzheimer disease. Data include imaging, genetics, fluid biochemistry, neurosensory, cognition and more. collection methods data sharing plans for open science are described. To move Disease (AD) research forward it essential collect from large cohorts, but also make such available global We describe creation an dataset (PResymptomatic EValuation Experimental or Novel Treatments AD) cohort, composed cognitively unimpaired individuals with parental multiple-sibling history AD. From 2011 2017, 386 participants were enrolled (mean age 63 years old ± 5) sustained investigation among whom 349 have retrospectively agreed share their openly. Repositories findable through unified interface Canadian Open Neuroscience Platform contain up five imaging data, cerebral neurosensory capacities, cognitive, genetic, medical information. Imaging can be accessed at https://openpreventad.loris.ca while most other information, sensitive by nature, accessible qualified researchers https://registeredpreventad.loris.ca . In addition being living resource continued acquisition, offers opportunities facilitate understanding AD pathogenesis.

Segmentation of Alzheimers Disease in PET scan datasets using MATLAB

Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan images are one of the bio medical imaging techniques similar to that of MRI scan images but PET scan images are helpful in finding the development of tumors. The PET scan images requires expertise in the segmentation where clustering plays an important role in the automation process. The segmentation of such images is manual to automate the process cluste...

The natural history of Alzheimer disease: a longitudinal presymptomatic and symptomatic study of a familial cohort.

BACKGROUND Knowledge of the evolution of cognitive deficits in Alzheimer disease is important for our understanding of disease progression. Previous reports, however, have either lacked detail or have not covered the presymptomatic stages. OBJECTIVE To delineate the onset and progression of clinical and neuropsychological abnormalities in familial Alzheimer disease. METHODS Nineteen subject...

Language deficits in pre-symptomatic Huntington's disease: evidence from Hungarian.

A limited number of studies have investigated language in Huntington's disease (HD). These have generally reported abnormalities in rule-governed (grammatical) aspects of language, in both syntax and morphology. Several studies of verbal inflectional morphology in English and French have reported evidence of over-active rule processing, such as over-suffixation errors (e.g., walkeded) and over-...

Molecular findings in symptomatic and pre-symptomatic Alexander disease patients.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE Alexander disease is a slowly progressive CNS disorder that most commonly occurs in children. Until recently, the diagnosis could only be established by the histologic finding of Rosenthal fibers in brain specimens. Mutations in the glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) gene have now been shown in a number of biopsy- or autopsy-proven patients with Alexander disease. A...
