Open reduction of an isolated anterior nasal spine fracture: a case report and review of the literature

A 14-year-old girl had a mid-facial trauma event caused by hitting an opening door and experienced discomfort swelling of the columella upper lip. Physical examination revealed mild tenderness on light palpation without any with lip movement. computed tomography scan maxillofacial bones three-dimensional reconstruction showed fracture anterior nasal spine obvious leftward displacement, deviation caudal aspect septum, no sign bone fracture. Open reduction internal fixation were performed regard to aesthetic functional concerns, including septum deviation. The postoperative course was uneventful, healing proceeded normally complications. Herein, we emphasize importance differential diagnosis isolated fractures in patients clinicians’ strategic decision-making treatment modalities.
