Online Postgraduate Teaching: Re-Discovering Human Agency

In this chapter, we challenge the current focus on income generating potential of online postgraduate programmes, arguing that more attention should be given to value education occurs. High quality programmes in which learning communities develop require input creative and innovative educators. The agency these individuals is largely obscured by wording institutional policy promotional materials. We offer a critique some recent academic strategies before discussing changing role labour amongst those contributing programmes. Teaching requires diverse skillset adaptability straddle traditional roles commercial aptitudes. This high-pressured environment where operate an increasingly global market, even high-quality are constant state innovation evolution. call for clearer articulation positionality educators documents. Through greater acknowledgment students, increase their visibility foreground as means developing new knowledge insights, eroding boundaries between professional spheres.
