چکیده
Abstract In this analysis, corrosion efficiency and mechanical properties of duplex stainless steel castings (DSS-4A DSS-5A) were compared to their wrought counterparts. Cast DSS-4A DSS-5A are characterized in two separate solution treated settings, while counterparts both solutions forged form. Optical microscopy X-ray diffractometry employed perform the metallurgical characterization. Electrochemical techniques such as Tafel extrapolation electrochemical impedance spectroscopy used investigate activity. An workstation was studies. To compare stability changes grades, an ASTM standard B117 salt spray test performed a 3.5 percent NaCl medium. Without any intermetallic phases, XRD showed austenite ferrite phases. The elements partitioned further into phases that they promoted, according elemental study ultimate tensile strength hardness values higher than those DSS-4A. had resistance When comparing media (H2SO4 NaCl), demonstrated superior resistance.

Corrosion Behavior of Stainless Steel Clad Rebar
Stainless steel clad rebar (SCR) was investigated because it may become a cost-effective means of controlling corrosion in concrete under very aggressive environments. Sound SCR (316L cladding) resisted corrosion in saturated Ca(OH)2 solution (SCS) with up to 5 wt% chloride. Cladding breaks on SCR induced significant corrosion of exposed underlying CS in SCS with only 1 wt% chloride. A computer...

The AISI 316 L Stainless Steel (SS) specimens were exposed to passivation surface through two different processes including; holding in 40-vol% HNO3 at temperature of 60 ºC for 30 min and 15-vol%H2SO4 at ambient temperature for 1 hour. The corrosion behavior of specimens was evaluated in physiological solutions by electrochemical in vitro tests through linear an...

In this study, the effect of molybdate on the electrochemical behavior and semi-conductive properties of duplex stainless steel 2205 passive film at NaCl solutions was investigated. Cyclic potentiodynamic polarization, impedance spectroscopy, mott-schottky plots and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to study the passive behavior. Polarization curves showed that the corrosion current ...

Galvanic corrosion is an ever-present problem in all different environments, particularly in tanks. The goal of this project is to develop a finite element model that can be used with experimental data to characterize the corrosion of a galvanic weldments couple in an electrolyte. In this study sample are welded by gas tungsten arc welding and friction stir welding. According to ASTM G8, Evalua...
