چکیده

Take-off is a critical phase of flight, and many birds jump to take the air. Although actuation hindlimb in terrestrial not limited sagittal plane, considerable non-sagittal plane motion has been observed during take-off jumps, how spatial arrangement muscles flying facilitates such jumps received little attention. This study aims ascertain 3D hip muscle function magpie ( Pica pica ), bird known take-off. A musculoskeletal model was developed using μCT scans (isotropic resolution 18.2 μm) derive bone surfaces, while path definition further informed by literature. Function robustly characterized determining moment-generating capacity 14 over functional joint range leap considering variations across attachment areas uncertainty dynamic geometry. Ratios peak flexion-extension (FE) internal-external rotation (IER) abduction-adduction (ABD) were indicators function. Analyses 972 paths showed that 11 can act as either flexor or extensor, all demonstrated internal external rotators with mean ratios FE IER ABD 0.89 0.31, respectively. Moment-generating approaching levels determined here underline avian plane. Together previous findings on nature kinematics, our results suggest models develop more detailed understanding orchestrate use cannot be restricted

the effect of e-64 on the developmental competence of sheep cocs during in vitro maturation

in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.

Reduced immunocompetence of nestlings in replacement clutches of the European magpie (Pica pica)

Laying date is one of the most important determinants of reproductive success and recruitment probability in birds. Late breeders usually £edge fewer chicks than individuals with earlier breeding dates, and £edglings produced late in the season have high mortality rates. Food availability and nestling mass have been evoked as the principal mechanistic links between laying date and o¡spring surv...

Feather microstructure of the black-billed magpie (Pica pica sericea) and jungle crow (Corvus macrorhynchos).

The jungle crow (Corvus macrorhynchos) distribution stretches from eastern Eurasia continent to southeastern Asia. The distribution of the black-billed magpie (Pica pica sericea) stretches from Korea and China to the Kyushu area in Japan. They are both in the Family, Corvidae, and have iridescent feather colors, but the iridescent feather color of the black-billed magpie is more remarkable than...

the effect of functional/notional approach on the proficiency level of efl learners and its evaluation through functional test

in fact, this study focused on the following questions: 1. is there any difference between the effect of functional/notional approach and the structural approaches to language teaching on the proficiency test of efl learners? 2. can a rather innovative language test referred to as "functional test" ge devised so so to measure the proficiency test of efl learners, and thus be as much reliable an...

Effect of Incubation on Bacterial Communities of Eggshells in a Temperate Bird, the Eurasian Magpie (Pica pica)

Inhibitory effect of incubation on microbial growth has extensively been studied in wild bird populations using culture-based methods and conflicting results exist on whether incubation selectively affects the growth of microbes on the egg surface. In this study, we employed culture-independent methods, quantitative PCR and 16S rRNA gene pyrosequencing, to elucidate the effect of incubation on ...
